こどもスクール、塾長の森田です。Hi, this is Morita, the headmaster of Kodomo School.

Thank you for having an interest in this recruitment page.

We had been teaching elementary and junior high school children for over 20 years at Morita Juku in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. Over the years, we tried various attempts and activities, however we always go back to the idea that the very basic of education is reading, writing and soroban. That’s how we opened our first soroban class eight years ago.

Our passion for reading, writing and soroban which is Japanese traditional method for learning as well as culture itself has gotten even stronger. Our group has become as it is now in striving to inherit and disseminate this method of which the number of learner has decreased into one fifteenth of its peak.

There are 95 soroban and Japanese penmanship schools in Toyohashi, Hamamatsu and Okazaki area. Instructors are ladies from their 30s to 60s.

I always interview by myself as a headmaster when hiring a person. What I put most importance on is not actually soroban or penmanship skill.

Considering that instructors need to interact with children, we want a person who has moral, honest personality and think positive.

Regarding the soroban and Japanese penmanship skills as well as teaching method, we provide you with adequate trainings using handbooks and textbooks. After various courses of training such as newly recruited teacher training and on-the-job training, I’m sure your anxiety will fade away.

Teaching soroban and Japanese penmanship to children will be surely a lifelong work in which you will find it truly delightful for being able to witness their growth. You will be given much energy by spending time with children. We look forward to receiving your application to Kodomo School. Thank you very much.
